She’d taken the day off for this, working longer hours the few days before the new content drop in order to leaves things manageable for her subordinates. And then, she’d turned off her phone, and spent the entire day waiting for the launch. Kennedy came well prepared, ordering in advance take out, stocking up with groceries for a weekend of staying inside. She’d gone through the effort of meal prepping for once, so she could run to the kitchen to microwave meals warm and rush back to her raids. [break][break]
And now it was happening. Kennedy’s eyes are glued to the screen inside her low-lit apartment. All her hair is pulled back and pinned to keep it from tickling her face. Her headset’s on, her stream deck ready. She took in a deep breath, making sure the voice changer acted as required. Her teammates were already on waiting in anticipation while she logged on. Only…to find it busier…than before. It was to be expected that people would be anxiously waiting for the drop of the new chapters but…this many people? Her stream is live, and her game avatar, mirrored her confusion. “Hate raid?” she asked, rather casual despite the viewers in her feed growing by the second. She took a moment to look away form the mess of people dancing around specific person, waving at the people that deigned her interesting enough to watch. [break][break]
“Sorry, I was grabbing some water and a snack. Ah, I hope everyone’s gotten their beauty rest in. I know I have.” She said with a dry laugh. A funny joke, right? Wrong. She would not be sleeping for the next 48 hours. The chat began to fly by, and she quietly said her hellos and welcome backs to usernames she recognized. She really wasn’t…a streamer per se, but she had a good enough track record of running through and figuring out new content. The real excitement wouldn’t start till then. “Oh, ok that makes sense. I’ll wave then.” She said turning her character, towards the others and making them wave. 'Hello, to you and your friends.' she typed into the in game chat and watched it pop up on the screen.
